I promised a couple of Guys that are traveling to Cape Cod with me this year a tying sequence so I thought why not stick it on the site. This is a fly has a great reputation on the Cape. It fishes well in the Rips where Stripers go hunting for Sandeels. It would also make a great UK Bass fly so have a go.
If I'm tying it, its easy!!

STEP 1
1. Tie in eyes as usual then reverse tie in a small amount of Red Holofusion

STEP 2
2. Split the material either side of the hook and reverse back over the dumbells and tie in behind the eyes and trim the excess length.

STEP 3
3. Cut a length and Pre taperize the material by pinching one end and pulling the other end to create a point at either end of the White Super hair or Unique Hair. Tie in and then trim. Apply Superglue.

STEP 4
4. Tie in Caramel Holofusion or other flash material you fancy over the top of the white.

STEP 5
5. Add an over wing of Olive Unique or superhair rembering to pull the material to a point prior to tying in. Whip finish and Superglue.

N.B. I tend to brush the glue over the fibresand past the back of the Dumbell eyes this helps to prevent the fly hanging up on itself when fishing
