AKA Mc Crab

This is a large, Permit sized dressing which utilises clipped Deerhair in its design which ensures that the Crab 'floats' down to the bottom, giving the fish time to see it alight whence they either immediately attack it or, as most Permit fishers know, simply 'rush' the fly and commence to stare intently at the fly. This is one of the older designs of Crab pattern and it is saying something to say that it is still in use today.
