I first started to take clients and guests bass fishing in Cornwall in 2005.We have landed thousands of bass over the years but each winter I still eagerly await the forthcoming season. I have always regarded it as an honour to share my knowledge of the sport and the coastline with those who have I have fished along side . I fish from the shoreline a kayak and also from my 17 foot Centre Consul Skiff. I fly fish , fish lures into the surf, soft plastics over the boulders. Surface Poppers will always be high on my hit list !
I have written various bass fishing articles for magazines over the years and fly fished for Bass on SKY TV.
Some of my guests stay in expensive hotels and some pitch a tent at the local campsite, We can now offer bed and Breakfast at our Spacious home . The spectrum of backgrounds of the people I fish with never fails to surprise me . The daily experience of guiding for bass is as fresh today as it was back in 2005.
The 2 day Bass package is as follows
2 Nights Bed and Breakfast at Sunset Cottage
I day fishing from Zen (Fly ,Lure or both)
1 day shore fishing for Bass (Fly ,Lure or both)

17 foot centre consul sports fishing boat, Boat and Guide licensed to fish Category 1 &2 waters with two paying clients- Engine – Yamaha 60 HP- Zen is fitted with Garmin Fishfnder and GPS

Austen Goldsmith IGFA registered guide . 6 years guiding for Bass in Cornwall – RYA Powerboat level 1 & 2 and intermediate – Safety at sea – VHF (All Commercially endorsed) First aid certificate . Licenced for category 1 & 2 waters .

We can pick you up and get you fishing within one hour of arrival if need be. Clients who take this option don't need a car as they are taken care of from the moment they arrive until their return journey. Accommodation to suit your needs will be pre arranged for you.

Location - Porthleven, Cornwall
Porthleven makes a great base for fishing . It is only 15 miles from the North to the South coast and also close to the Lizard. The Village has 3 great pubs, good restaurants and a sandy beach.
